Job Interview Performance Problem

by Linda Black © 2009

One of my EFT phone clients, Josie (consent given to use her real name), wanted to apply for a new job but although she believed she had the skills for it, it was a much higher classification with a significantly bigger salary than she was currently earning. She was too afraid to apply and had a history of interviewing poorly (she believed.)

In past sessions Josie had responded with pronounced shifts and I anticipated the same reaction this time.

Although we made good progress this time and tapped on various aspects of the issue, Josie didn’t seem to have the same marked responses as usual. At the end of the session she felt better about the individual aspects and the job option didn’t seem so daunting. At this stage I wasn’t certain that the matter was resolved and left it to Josie to contact me again if necessary.

Three months later I got this email from her:

“I have had my first interview last week and everything went amazingly well. In fact so well that I have just received a job offer for a highly paid position. My head is still swimming and I wanted you to be the first to know. Thank you for your amazing expertise”

Sometimes progress with EFT is really obvious and sometimes it’s more subtle. Either way, something always shifts!

One Response to Job Interview Performance Problem

  1. Thanks for this story Linda. This is a great lesson for me as a Practitioner because it shows that even though clients may not always get massive shifts in a session, you never know what effect it’s going to have on their life after they leave. It’s also a good story for people who may not have thought of using EFT as part of their interview preparation process to improve their performance and confidence by tapping on and releasing their fears, worries and nerves.
